    Hot wings are always better with a good dipping sauce, and this Blue Cheese Sauce is one of our favorites! It’s cool, creamy, and has just the right amount of blue cheese without being too strong. The ranch flavor still comes through, which makes it perfect for folks who want balance instead of a heavy blue cheese flavor.

    We first made this recipe for our Buffaque Wings and loved it. You can use it with classic buffalo wings, spread on burgers, or even as a dip for fresh veggies. It’s simple to make, and the flavor works with just about anything that needs a little creamy addition.

    This sauce is best served cold. If you’re serving at a party, it can sit out for up to 2 hours, but after that it should go back in the fridge for food safety.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 ounce package dry Ranch Dressing Mix (Hidden Valley brand)
    • 1 cup whole buttermilk
    • ½ cup mayonnaise
    • 4 ounces blue cheese crumbles
    • 2 tablespoons fresh dill finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
    • salt to taste
    • black pepper to taste

    Instructions
     

    • Mix the ingredients: In a medium bowl, add in all the ingredients and whisk until fully incorporated.
    • Adjust seasoning: Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
    • Chill: Cover and let the sauce chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before serving.
    • Store: Transfer to an airtight container or mason jar and refrigerate. The sauce will thicken as it chills.
