Toppings for fried chicken and sweet waffles
- Fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries go perfect on top of our sweet waffles.
- Powdered sugar is one of my favorite toppings for fried chicken and waffles.
- Spicy maple syrup is also really delicious, just mix syrup and hot sauce together.
Our favorite waffles recipe
These buttermilk waffles are perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. So go ahead and pull out your waffle iron and make a batch! For our crispy fried chicken and fluffy waffles, we used chicken tenders, but feel free to use chicken breasts, boneless chicken thighs, or chicken wings.
