Chicken and Waffles Recipe

INGREDIENTS

Fried Chicken – Chicken – Buttermilk & Hot Sauce – Dredge Ingredients – Seasonings – Cooking Oil Buttermilk Waffles – Dry Ingredients. – Wet Ingredients

Mix buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken, coat well, and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. Then combine cornstarch and seasonings. Coat chicken in the flour mixture.

STEP 1:

Heat oil to 340°F in a fryer, Dutch oven, or cast-iron skillet. Fry 2-3 chicken pieces at a time until golden brown and the internal temp hits 165°F. Drain on paper towels.

STEP 2:

For the waffles, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine buttermilk, vanilla, eggs, and melted butter. Stir dry into wet ingredients. Cook waffles in preheated,  waffle iron.
